About Me

I was born and raised in Upstate, NY. Living in one of the most densely impoverished cities in the nation I often found myself wondering what my life would be without the barriers I faced. The barrier of being Black, being poor, being Queer, being neurodivergent, and being born an artist instead of a future ivy league doctor, engineer, lawyer, or scientist. But truth be told I’ve found that all the things I once hated about myself are the things that make me an amazing, kind, and deeply empathetic being. My passion for liberation, and my dreams of a loving and peaceful world, keep my heart young even when at times my mind grows weary.

My mother kept me in art programs my entire life and I had some of the greatest mentors pour into me. I attended programs at the Everson Museum, The Community Folk Art Center, The Talent Agency, and eventually Syracuse University where I procured my B.F.A and am currently pursuing my Masters in Arts Education. I hope to leave a trail of my philosophy in every room I enter, and love in every heart I touch. My existence is resistance.
